Former Aston Villa ace Gabriel Agbonlahor has admitted he is worried about Chelsea and claimed that Enzo Fernandez "looks annoyed" at his team-mates.

Graham Potter's side have won just one of their last 11 matches in all competitions and suffered a damaging 2-0 defeat against London rivals Tottenham on Sunday. It was a result that left the Blues languishing in 10th and a mammoth 14 points behind the Champions League places with 14 games to go.

In actual fact, the Blues are now closer to 20th-place Southampton than the top four, with Chelsea 13 points ahead of the Saints in the Premier League table. Potter has come under increased pressure from the club's supporters due to their dismal run of form and Agbonlahor is concerned about the way the Blues are heading.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Agbonlahor said: "I'm worried about the players' body language. Havertz does nothing, he can't create as a 10, or hold up play as a 9.

"Sterling runs all game but doesn't get the ball. Enzo, who's been incredible, looks annoyed at his teammates. There's just no connection between them."

Fernandez has made five appearances since his £106million switch from Benfica in the January transfer window, drawing two and losing three of them. He made his debut in the 0-0 draw against Fulham on February 3, before providing his first assist as they drew 1-1 against West Ham.

Chelsea made a further seven signings in January, but Potter hasn't been able to get the best out of all his new players amid their £300m spending spree. The 47-year-old has taken a fair bit of criticism from fans but pundits have also had their say on the Blues' fortunes.

Paul Merson delivered a scathing verdict at Potter after the Blues' defeat at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. He admitted that Chelsea's style of football was so slow - a complete contrast to how his Brighton team played during his time in charge.

Ask quoted by Sky Sports, the Arsenal legend said: "They never looked like scoring at Spurs. I could have played for Chelsea on Sunday when they had the ball because it was so slow - and I’m 54! I can't run around anymore but I can pass the ball and I could have played in the team. It was slow, sideways, backwards, I can play like that at my age."

Chelsea are next in action when they face Leeds on Saturday, before their must-win Champions League last-16 second-leg clash against Borussia Dortmund on March 8. That could be a defining evening in Potter's Blues career following his appointment in September.
