Scott McTominay’s personal company climbs to almost £6m after stellar Napoli season

Scotland star Scott McTominay boosted the value of his personal company to almost £6million last year.

The Napoli midfielder has posted a healthy set of accounts for the firm that channels his off-field earnings.

The Tartan Army scored a spectacular overhead kick in the 4-2 win over Denmark which secured Scotland‘s qualification for the World Cup.

He played in every match during the campaign in the US but was recently forced to pull out of the current Scotland squad after undergoing a minor heart operation.

The 29-year-old’s company Scott McTominay Limited has total assets of almost £6.1m which include a £1m property portfolio, investments worth £4m and more than £1m owed by debtors.

After paying off creditors, the firm was valued at £5,939,301 – a rise of £385,000 on the previous year’s figure.

The latest set of accounts submitted to Companies House cover the 12 months up to December 31 last year.

McTominay set up the company in 2017 shortly after breaking into the first team at Manchester United and he is the sole director and shareholder in it.

The income of the firm has grown rapidly as its first set of accounts in 2018 declared shareholder funds of £269,000.

The nature of the business is listed as ‘broadcasting activities’, ‘buying and selling of own real estate’ and ‘media representation services’.

McTominay moved from Old Trafford to Napoli in a £25.7m transfer in 2024.

He helped the club win the Serie A title in his debut season, scoring 13 times in 36 appearances.

He was named Serie A Player of the Year and was then nominated in the top 20 best players in the world at the Ballon d’Or.

Earlier this month McTominay had an ablation procedure – a minimally invasive operation to correct irregular heart rhythms – carried out at a hospital in Manchester.

A mild arrhythmia was discovered after he was substituted after 56 minutes of Napoli’s 2-1 Serie A defeat by Como on 30 August.

Napoli said the operation was “a complete success” and McTominay is expected to return to training in the coming days.

Last year Napoli applied to register McTominay’s nickname ‘McFratm’ – meaning brother – for a range of merchandise including sporting goods, food and stationery.
