Erling Haaland may be a beast on the pitch, but his romantic life is remarkably grounded and low-key.
Norway’s formidable forward is in a long-term relationship with 22-year-old model Isabel Haugseng Johansen – who slid into his DMs.
Before she was known as an influencer and model, Norwegian Isabel actually was a footballer herself, playing as a forward for the women’s program at Bryne FK starting from the age of 13.

Both grew up in the small town of Bryne, Norway, and played for the local club, Bryne FK.
Though they knew each other as kids, sparks didn’t fly until years later.
According to Erling, stunning brunette Isabel was actually the one who initiated the romance by messaging him around 2021, after he had moved to Germany to play for Borussia Dortmund.

He shared: “She sent me a message. She played in the same club as me, Bryne.
“She was the one who checked me out. I wasn’t the one who checked her out.”
Despite Erling being worth £74million at the ripe age of 25, the couple prefer low-key date nights.
When asked about their dream evening, the Snapchat-favourite footie player said: “I cook dinner.

“This will probably sound a bit embarrassing to her, but she likes to play video games.
“So we play Minecraft together. We sit and game and build houses together and all that.
“Or we go back home to Bryne and order kebabs.”
The lovebirds welcomed their first child together, a son, in December 2024.

Despite her growing brand and boasting 945,000 Instagram followers, Isabel fiercely guards her family life and the couple have not revealed their son’s name or face.
Speaking candidly to Norway’s KK magazine about the reality of having a high-profile relationship, the mum-of-one said: “I want to protect my family, but at the same time I want people to have the opportunity to get to know me and who I am better.
“Then the challenge becomes setting boundaries for what is private and what is not.”
Away from the camera flashes and stadium noise, Isabel and Erling live a quiet life in England – but do enjoy some of the perks of his large Man Citystriker salary, which is estimated to be £500,000 per week.

The footie star splashed out £6.2million on a ten-bedroom Cheshire mansion, which is so large he could have an entire team stay over.
The estate comes with a lake, an outdoor swimming pool, sprawling gardens, and a coach house and stables.
Erling has also just received planning permission to build a four-bay garage to house his £10million collection of supercars — which includes a rare £4million Bugatti Tourbillon.
A source said: “It’s got everything the modern day footballer could want and more, including historic walled gardens.
“It’s also very private though which means Erling can completely switch off from football when he is home.”
While they typically enjoy a down-to-earth daily life, the World Cup star has spoken about Isabel’s footballing background being key for understanding his sporting career.
He shared: “She played football, we met and all of that. It’s nice because you understand football.”
