Trump’s lack of public appearances reignites debate over his health ahead of 80th birthday

Conspiracy theories are circulating online after President Donald Trump went without any public engagements for the seventh consecutive day, sparking fresh health concerns as he nears his 80th birthday.

Social media users voiced mounting anxiety over the president’s wellbeing after journalist Aaron Rupar highlighted on Twitter that Trump had made no public appearances since May 27, when he attended his Cabinet meeting. Since that date, Trump, who was recently spotted on camera in a startling moment with Melania, has only been seen in a pre-recorded interview.

Many began noting that the president doesn’t appear publicly during the "beginning of every single month."

"Call me old-fashioned, but I think it should be a bigger story that we haven’t seen the President of the United States on live TV in nearly a week. This happens at the beginning of every single month...," one person wrote on X.

"I didn’t notice a possible pattern until someone pointed it out. It’s the first of the month. He seems to disappear around this time," added another, reports the Irish Star.

A third posted: "I know we’re all a little weary of "dementia Twitter," but it does seem odd that a president who lives on camera just doesn’t do any public appearances about once a month for almost a week." Stoking public intrigue even more was the disclosure that the day before the May 27 Cabinet meeting, the president spent several hours at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center - marking his third such trip in 12 months. This occurred ahead of Dr. Oz’s explosive health announcement during what was branded a ‘catastrophic’ press briefing.

"It’s the first of the month, time for his monthly treatments. Expect to see large bruises on his hands and open sores on other parts of his body in the next few days," one user remarked, alluding to rampant online theories about the president’s repeated hand bruising.

"They are lying to us about Donald Trump’s health," another user theorized, reports the Mirror US.

"Six days between public appearances feels like a long time for a president. Wonder if something is up or if this is just how his schedule works now," a third user observed. The president, who turns 80 on June 14, declared last Tuesday that his six-month examination at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center showed "everything checked out PERFECTLY."

The White House took longer than anticipated to publish the results of his third official medical assessment since taking office again. In a memorandum released on Friday, US Navy Captain Sean Barbabella, Trump’s doctor, declared the president "remains in excellent health" and possesses "strong cardiac, pulmonary, neurological, and overall physical function."

Nevertheless, several leading medical experts have questioned the conclusions, lambasting what they describe as notable omissions in the assessment. "That report is almost too good to be true for somebody of his age," Texas vascular surgeon William Shutze told The Wall Street Journal. "This seems to be a filtered narrative."
