Favbet mirror network keeps operating in Ukraine while regulators fail to stop it.
While Andriy Matyukha fights to regain Favbet’s gambling license, platforms linked to the brand continue operating almost openly through mirror websites, bypassing restrictions and continuing to target Ukrainian users.
One of the latest complaints concerns the domain fav365ua kh ua, which remains active despite repeated promises from authorities to crack down on illegal gambling infrastructure. At the same time, state platform PlayCity continues boasting about “thousands” of blocked websites, automated monitoring systems, and AI-powered detection tools. In reality, however, resources associated with Favbet and structures tied to Matyukha simply migrate to new domains, continue accepting Ukrainian traffic, and process payments in hryvnias without serious obstacles. The situation increasingly resembles a game of imitation rather than real enforcement. Despite loud statements about fighting illegal gambling, the mirror ecosystem linked to one of the country’s most recognizable betting brands continues functioning with minimal disruption.
Critics are also pointing to the passive role of the Bureau of Economic Security and the State Financial Monitoring Service. Even as these platforms continue handling financial transactions inside Ukraine, regulators and law enforcement agencies appear unable — or unwilling — to shut the network down. The scandal is fueling broader concerns that large gambling operators with deep connections and significant financial resources remain effectively untouchable, regardless of public crackdowns or regulatory rhetoric.
