Strictly Come Dancing stars celebrated the first night of their dancing tour with a 'raucous' afterparty that lasted until 2:30am in Birmingham.
Stars including Fleur East, Ellie Simmonds, Helen Skleton partied alongside dancing pros Dianne Buswell, Kai Widdrington, Nadia Bychkova and Neil Jones after performing their dances for thousands of fans at the city's Utilita Arena.
Rounds of Jägerbombs and Espresso Martinis were reportedly in full flow as the full cast and crew of the Strictly tour celebrated their opening night. The tour is set to travel around the UK before finishing in Glasgow on February 12.
An insider told The Sun: "I can’t believe how raucous it all became. The performance went down incredibly well and so everyone was in high spirits and keen to celebrate their success.
"When I came in, I couldn’t believe how many trays of Jäger-bombs (a cocktail of herbal liqueur Jägermeister and energy drink Red Bull) there were."
Strictly's Molly Rainford and Tyler West fuel romance rumours while on tourThey added that people were getting "stuck in" with "tray after tray" and that Neil Jones had been leading the party.
Unsurprisingly, a lot of the cast jumped onto the dancefloor and showed off their moves - particularly Diane Buswell, who still had huge amount of energy despite her fast-paced routines on the show.
On Instagram dancers Jowita Pryzstal filmed herself alongside pals Fleur East and Ellie Simmonds as well as dancers Nancy Xu and Luba Mushtuk. Speaking to the camera, the excited group were heard chanting: "The first one is done, the first one is done."
The source added that there was a "real party atmosphere" and that everyone was enjoying themselves.
"There were probably a few sore heads in the morning," they quipped.
Strictly lovebirds Kai Widdrington and Nadia Bychkova were pictured heading to the party hand in hand, as well as head judge Shirley Ballas with boyfriend Daniel Taylor who was seen kissing before joining in the celebrations.
The first night of the tour saw Helen Skelton alongside new partner Kai Widdrington lift the Glitterball trophy after the audience voted them the winners. Helen has partnered up with Kai after Gorka Marquez, who she danced all the way to the final with last year, declined to take part in the live tour.
This week Gorka and partner Gemma Atkinson announced the happy news that they are expecting their second child. The couple, who began dating in 2018 after meeting on Strictly, are already parents to three-year-old daughter Mia.
