Elon Musk, Prince Andrew, and high-profile figures linked to Jeffrey Epstein in newly released documents
Newly released documents from Jeffrey Epstein’s estate and the US House Oversight Committee have shed light on the network of high-profile figures associated with the late paedophile financier. Among those named are tech billionaire Elon Musk, Prince Andrew, and other prominent personalities.
According to the files, Elon Musk was listed as a potential visitor to Epstein’s private island, Little St James, on December 6, 2014—six years after Epstein’s first conviction for soliciting a minor. A page from Epstein’s daily schedule reads: “Reminder: Elon Musk to island Dec. 6 (is this still happening?)”. Musk later told Vanity Fair that he had visited Epstein’s Manhattan residence once with actress Talulah Riley, but declined repeated invitations to the island, claiming he saw nothing inappropriate.
The documents also reference Musk’s public conflict with former President Donald Trump earlier this year, in which Musk accused the Trump administration of withholding files related to Epstein because Trump was named in them. Musk later deleted these social media posts.
Prince Andrew, Duke of York, also appears in the newly released files as a passenger on Epstein’s private jet, alongside Epstein and his convicted accomplice Ghislaine Maxwell. A flight log from May 12, 2000, shows Andrew traveling from Teterboro, New Jersey, to Palm Beach, Florida. Records indicate a massage for “Andrew” occurred four days later, costing $200. Andrew has consistently denied any wrongdoing.
The documents have also revealed other connections, including references to Bill Gates and Steve Bannon. Epstein’s schedule notes a tentative breakfast party with Gates on December 5, 2014, and a February 16, 2019, breakfast with Bannon, Trump’s former chief strategist, shortly before Epstein’s arrest. Epstein reportedly collaborated with Bannon in an effort to rehabilitate his reputation in the months leading up to his death.
Additional revelations involve Sarah, Duchess of York, who emailed Epstein apologizing for disowning him after his first conviction. She referred to him as a “supreme friend,” a message that led several charities to drop her as a patron.
Epstein was found dead in his Manhattan jail cell in August 2019 while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges; his death was ruled a suicide. The House Oversight Committee emphasized that the documents illustrate Epstein’s extensive ties to some of the wealthiest and most powerful figures in the world, highlighting ongoing efforts to bring justice for survivors and victims.
