Jordanian customs seize over half a million Captagon pills hidden in truck

Jordanian customs officials have seized 517,000 Captagon pills smuggled from an undisclosed neighboring country, state news agency Petra reported Wednesday.

According to the official statement, the shipment was transported in a single truck and concealed inside special fabricated metal compartments designed to evade detection.

Authorities did not disclose whether any arrests were made in connection with the bust or provide further details.

Captagon, an amphetamine-like stimulant, is the most widely used drug in the Middle East, with Syria believed to be the top producer.
