Crystal Palace have won the FA Cup for the first time in their history after a heroic victory over Manchester City at Wembley.

Eze Eberechi scored a stunning counter-attack goal after 16 minutes, sweeping home a cross from Daniel Munoz after waves of City pressure to give the Eagles a priceless lead.

There was major controversy when Palace goalkeeper Dean Henderson escaped punishment after handling the ball outside his box with Erling Haaland bearing down on goal.

Henderson went on to play a defining role in preserving Palace’s lead at the end of the first half, guessing right to deny Omar Marmoush’s penalty after Bernardo Silva was brought down by Tyrick Mitchell.

City toiled looking for an equalizer that never came with Henderson making more vital saves.

Pep Guardiola and his side end their season trophyless as Palace finally ended their wait for major silverware.
