Lorry crashes through central reservation and flips over on M40

The M40 has closed near Bicester after a lorry smashed through the central reservation on the major motorway.

Another crash has hit today, this time on the M40 in Oxfordshire near Bicester just hours after a man in his 20s suffered life-threatening injuries on the M1.

The southbound carriageway remains closed between J10 Bicester and J9 Oxford after a lorry overturned, National Highways said.

Elsewhere, Elizabeth line on the London Underground is suspended between Heathrow Terminals T2, T3 and T5 due to a faulty signal. It also affects Heathrow Express trains, with disruption expected until 3pm.
