Alec Baldwin speaks out after an angry outburst directed at a protester taunting him over the fatal shooting incident
Alec Baldwin seemingly ignored his angry outburst after a protestor in a coffee shop approached him to ask about the fatal shooting of Halyna Hutchins on the Rust film set
Alec Baldwin took to Instagram in the aftermath of his angry outburst that saw him slap a phone out of a woman’s hand.
The actor shared a video of some of his children running at the beach and captioned it "Happy Earth Day" along with James Taylor’s Shower the People playing over the top. The clip comes after an incident at a coffee shop in which an anti-Israel activist approached the 30 Rock actor in New York and tried to get him to tell the camera "Free Palestine."
She went on to question the actor about the tragic shooting on the set of the Western movie Rust in 2021, in which cinematographer Halyna was shot dead after the Hollywood star was handed a gun loaded with real bullets instead of blanks.

Baldwin is facing a criminal trial on July 10 after a grand jury indicted him for involuntary manslaughter following the incident. Recently, the armourer on the movie’s set, Hannah Gutierrez Reed, who handed the gun to Alec, was jailed for 18 months for her role in the death.
The protestor in the coffee shop was heard shouting at Baldwin in a video shared online: "Why did you kill that lady? You killed that lady and got no jail time." They then pleaded with him to say "F**k Israel, f**k Zionism," and said: "Free Palestine, Alec, just one time and I’ll leave you alone. I’ll leave you alone, I swear, just say free Palestine one time."

Baldwin was then spotted asking an employee at the shop to call the police before he tells the protestor: "Can you do me one quick favour?" and punches the phone she was filming with.
A number of fans were quick to defend the star on his post, with one saying: "I am sooo sorry, that was absolutely horrible. I almost cried. But good job! NO ONE has a right to come at you like that in public!! If someone came at my family member like that it would’ve turned very ugly. Stay strong, Baldwins."
Another ignored the incident and simply praised the star for sharing a heartwarming video, writing: "Love this so much. Wonderful to see your sons running so care free and great choice of song to represent the spirit of."
