Amanda Holden got emotional while thinking about how she'll cope when her children leave home.
The Britain's Got Talent judge, 53, shares Lexi, 18, and Hollie, 12, with her husband Chris Hughes. While speaking to Alan Carr on their series Amanda and Alan's Italian Job, the radio star teared up as she thought about her children growing up and leaving her an empty nester.
"When your children, when they leave home, you only spend a year of your life with them ever again," the star said while sitting on a public bench with Alan. "They say you have 18 summers and then you're lucky to see them. It's so terrible because you wish so much of it away when you're a busy parent..." she continued while discussing how time flies and then 'suddenly they're not even there."
Alan asked how Amanda would cope when her children leave, and she immediately pouted and said: "Don't," while the duo got emotional about it.
Amanda shared the clip on Instagram and simply captioned it: "Time flies. Enjoy it," and fans rushed to the comment section to share their experience. ITV's Loose Women star Ruth Langsford commented: "You’re right…it flies SO quickly….enjoy every second that you can."

One emotional fan added: "I was sobbing when I watched this in your series. I have 1 daughter who will be 18 this year possibly uni next year and I honestly can’t imagine it," while another posted: "Can’t even watch it without welling up about mine leaving! Feeling churned up inside and out with tears in my eyes for you and for me!!"
Earlier this month, Amanda's daughter spilled the beans about the reality of having a famous mum. On March 8, Amanda and her kids were on Heart FM's radio show to celebrate International Women's Day. Her children revealed the one time she danced around the house without any clothes on.
While they were talking to co-host Jamie Theakston, her two daughters started telling their most embarrassing stories about Amanda. Hollie started by saying: "The most embarrassed my mum has made me was when she was dancing around the house completely naked."
Hollie then revealed: "Then she made me answer the door while she quickly tried to put some clothes on. Thanks for that, mum!" Amanda's oldest daughter Lexi, 18, then said: "One thing I wish my mum would stop doing is interrupting me all the time. She's always butting in halfway through a sentence."
