Antoine Griezmann brutally insulted Alexis Sanchez after the Inter Milan star missed his spot kick in a dramatic penalty shootout against Atletico Madrid.
Their Champions League last 16 clash ended 2-2 on aggregate after extra time, meaning the tie was decided on penalties. And it was Atletico who ultimately won the shootout 3-2, with Sanchez, Davy Klaassen and Lisandro Martinez all missing from the spot for Inter.
Sanchez was the first Inter player to miss his penalty and as Atletico celebrated, TV cameras for Spanish broadcaster Movistar panned over to the bench where Griezmann could be seen telling teammate Rodrigo De Paul in Spanish: "es un cagon el chileno, un cagon".
That apparently translates to: "He is s***, the Chilean is s***", although some translations claim the word "cagon" means "coward". Griezmann himself did not end up taking a penalty as he was forced off in extra time with an injury.
"Until he could, he was there," Atletico boss Diego Simeone said when asked about Griezmann following the game. "When he couldn't stand his legs he asked for a change. That's what men do.

"It was moving. I'm happy for the players and for the fans. We are among the best eight teams in Europe again. That says a lot about this club."
Goalkeeper Jan Oblak was Atletico's hero, having saved both Sanchez and Klaasen's spot kicks. "In the end it's a bit about luck in the shootout. Because you have to choose the correct side and you have to make the stop," the 31-year-old said.

Inter boss Simone Inzaghi, who guided his team all the way to the final last year, admitted they "should have done better" in the second half and "made too many mistakes" in extra time. "We must be proud of what we did in this Champions League," he said.
"In the second half we should have done better. In extra time we had more energy but unfortunately we made too many mistakes."
