Graeme Souness will return to television to provide analysis on Liverpool's FA Cup quarter-final against Manchester United on Sunday.
The former Sky Sports pundit stepped back from television duties at the end of last season. He'd spent 15 years in total working for the broadcaster before announcing his exit last April and has mainly provided analysis on radio this season.
Souness, 70, is still a revered figure at Anfield for his exploits as both a player and a manager, and it's now been revealed that he is likely to be part of the ITV broadcast team for this weekend's big match at Old Trafford. That's according to The Mail, who claim Souness will be reunited with his former Sky Sports colleague, Roy Keane.
The Reds head into the match at the top of the Premier League and with the Carabao Cup to their name already this term. Victory against United means Jurgen Klopp would have a fantastic opportunity to win all three domestic trophies in his final season at the helm, with the German set to stand down in the summer.
Souness revealed back in the summer that his departure from Sky was a mutual decision, although he was open to staying on for a further year. He made it clear, though, that he wasn't planning to retire and, as such, was open to further opportunities.

“[It was] mutual. I mean, I was keen to stay another year," Souness told The Guardian. “They thought it would be a good idea that we called it a day, gave their reasons and I accepted that and have zero complaints about Sky.
“I worked for them maybe 15 years solid – but it’s more like 20 years. They’ve been great for me, gave me the weekends to look forward to, the buzz of live football.”

Souness clocked up over 350 appearances for Liverpool during his playing career, winning five league titles. He returned to Anfield as manager after hanging up his boots and won the FA Cup back in 1992.
Liverpool and Manchester United are two of the biggest teams left in this year's competition. Chelsea, Manchester City, Newcastle, Wolves and Championship duo Coventry City and Leicester make up the final eight.
