Dominik Szoboszlai claims he wants to win the quadruple in this first season with Liverpool.

Liverpool have already won a record 10th Carabao Cup and remain on target for glory in the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup. Szoboszlai is delighted they already have the Carabao Cup in the trophy cabinet, even though he missed the final win over Chelsea through injury, and wants to complete the clean sweep with Liverpool.

“It’s a good feeling,” said the Reds midfielder. “We won already one and we have three more left. Me, personally, I want to win all four, but we have to look game by game.

"We cannot look that far to the end of the season because there’s a long way to go, a lot of games, Europe, FA Cup on Sunday and then after the national team break the Premier League starts again. But I think we are ready.”

Liverpool are virtually assured of a place in the Europa League quarter-finals after beating Sparta Prague 5-1 in the Czech Republic last week and Szoboszlai says they are confident. However, he says title rivals Manchester City and Arsenal will also be feeling confident.

He also played down talk of wanting to win for Jurgen Klopp in his final season. “I think we have a quite good chance, but I think everyone thinks like this,” said the Hungary skipper. “If you ask the City players, they would think they have a good chance, the Arsenal players would think they have a good chance.

“Me? I think we have a good chance, but we have to work for it. It’s not coming from the air and jumping into our hands, the title. We have to work in every game, give your best.

“It doesn’t matter who’s in the first 11 or who comes on from the bench, we’re a team and ready to fight for each other. About the gaffer, everyone is looking only for the games and not thinking about what is happening at the end of the season. We can talk about that then.”

Szoboszlai, 23, also claimed Liverpool fans have yet to see the best of him, despite his impressive start to the season and trademark long-range goals. He is back from injury and insists he can do even better than that.

“Maybe it’s not just because of my injury,” he said when asked about his dip in form. “It happens also that you have really good games, and you have less good games, you have a bad game. We’re not perfect. None of us in all the games showed ourselves at 100 per cent what we can really do.

“But on my side, I’m working every day to give my best shape. If you think my best shape was at the start of the season, it wasn’t. I can be better.”
