Martin Odegaard has warned Arsenal are ready to challenge Manchester City on two fronts.
Arsenal are top of the Premier League and into Friday’s Champions League quarter final draw and City hold no fears for the in-form Gunners. England star Bukayo Saka has insisted Arsenal can beat City at the Etihad in their title showdown on March 31 and they would not be scared of drawing them in Europe either.
That view is backed up by Gunners skipper Odegaard who says they have got both trophies in their sights after the “massive boost” of beating Porto on penalties to reach their first European Cup quarter final in 14 years.
Odegaard said: “We want to fight for all the trophies we can. That’s the goal, but as I said many times, we have to take it game by game and step by step. There are still so many things we can improve, that’s the focus we have to have now go into the end, then we will see [what happens].”
Saka added: “We are top of the League and we are into the quarter-finals of the Champions League as we go into the international break. So, that gives us a lot of momentum, a lot of belief, that we can go the Etihad and get a result.”
Chelsea complete record-breaking Enzo Fernandez transfer after deadline day rushOdegaard says Arsenal will not fear any of the other big guns in Friday’s draw with Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid already through. He also insisted they will not want to avoid anyone either.
He added: “To be honest, we can’t think like that. It’s the biggest tournament in the world and no matter what team we get, it’s going to be a good team. We will just take what we get and we will try to win.

“We want to be on the biggest stage. We want to play the biggest games and fight for the biggest trophies. So, that’s where we want to be.”
Holders Manchester City are red-hot favourites to retain the trophy with the bookies with Real Madrid second favourites and Arsenal are third favourites. The final is at Wembley on June 1.
