Tyson Fury refused to spend over £10 for some Nutella and Ferrero Rocher ice cream despite forking out £180,000 on a Lamborghini Urus.

The heavyweight champion visited his local Asda in Morecambe for a food shop with wife Paris and recorded the pair scouting around for bargains. After posting a video in his new lime green Lamborghini Urus, which is worth up to £180,000, Fury joked he has no money left to spend on named brands in supermarkets.

"Decisions, decisions. Do you spend £6.10 on a jar of Nutella or do you spend £1.85 on some chocolate spread? I think we’ll take this one Paris," he said.

"No, you pay £2.75 for the big box of Asda stuff. All the kids moan when you go home but that’s as good as it," Paris replied. "Ok, is this the one? This is the saving look, £2.75 or £6.10. Boris [Johnson] would be proud, wouldn’t he Paris.

Paris then picked up some Ferrero Rocher ice creams, but Tyson quickly made her put them back. "Paris getting a few ice lollies for the kids! Put them back, crank. They’re a £5er for some ice lollies. Get them ones that are a quid, there we go. Vimto, value for money. After spending all of the money on the Lambo, I think we need to save on shopping," Fury said.

It's not the first time Fury has made headlines for his shopping habits, as he said his own kids mock him for finding the best deals. "When I’m in Aldi and my kids are shouting ‘He’s shopping in Aldi’ and then the people say ‘You’re shopping in Aldi or Lidl I’m like ‘Well it’s food, isn’t it?’ Everywhere I go people say they don’t expect to see me there," he told JOE.

“I’m not gonna pay £3.50 for a pack of KitKats that’s usually on offer, no way! No matter how much money I’ve got I just won’t do it because it’s not in me to do that. In our minds, we're always poor, no matter how much money you make. For me, I don’t care if it’s a Ritz Carlton or an all-you-can-eat for a fiver, to me I’d go there anyway, Monday to Friday, it’s not a problem. "

Fury is currently preparing for his undisputed heavyweight world title fight against Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 in Saudi Arabia. The Brit was ringside in Riyadh last weekend to watch Anthony Joshua brutally knockout Francis Ngannou in just two rounds after the ex-UFC champion took Fury 10 rounds last October.
