Arsenal are set to hold onto top spot in the Premier League for at least three weeks.

The Gunners’ late victory against Brentford saw them claim pole position, while Liverpool’s draw with Manchester City at Anfield ensured they would remain there. With all of the title contenders taking a break from league action for a week, it means that Mikel Arteta's men will stay top throughout the international break.

There is still European action to come for Arsenal though, as they attempt to turn their Champions League tie against Porto around. The Portuguese side ran out victorious during the first leg.

Ahead of that game, Mikel Arteta has already been putting his side through its paces. Take a look at all of the news to come out of the Emirates Stadium over the past 24 hours.

Saliba makes "horrible" admission

Arsenal defender William Saliba has claimed the Gunners' "horrible" style of play has forced them into contention for the Premier League title. Speaking after his side’s success against Brentford, the Frenchman said: “I think we were horrible [to play against] in the last seven or eight games. Now we have to keep going like this.”

Away from the Premier League title race, Arsenal’s first job is to progress past Porto. And Saliba believes that should they manage that then they could be considered as bonafide challengers for a European crown, too.

Asked if the match against Porto presents them with a brilliant opportunity to do that, he replied: “Of course. We have to win, we can’t wait.”

Dressing room messages leaked

Arsenal have home advantage against Porto, with several stars relishing playing at the Emirates Stadium after private dressing room messages were leaked. A picture of the Gunners dressing room showed a whiteboard with the title 'How does playing at the Emirates make you feel?’

A host of players including Gabriel Martinelli plumped for ‘excited’, while Bukayo Saka described the experience as ‘special’. Other responses included ‘happy’, ‘confident’, ‘powerful’ and ‘unique’.

Arsenal have been in excellent form on home soil this season. They have only lost two games at the Emirates Stadium - a 2-0 defeat to West Ham in the Premier League, as well as a 2-0 reverse at the hands of Liverpool in the FA Cup.

Title chances boosted

Arsenal have seen their chances of lifting the Premier League handed a huge boost as a result of Liverpool’s draw with Man City. The current table toppers had a 13 per cent chance of lifting the title before the game with Opta but that has now increased to 18.8 per cent.

Despite that, the Gunners are currently the least fancied out of the three to claim the trophy. Pep Guardiola’s side are still in the driving seat with a 45.9 per cent chance of winning the league again, while Liverpool’s chances now sit at 35.3 per cent.
