Vanessa Hudgens has announced she is pregnant on the Oscars red carpet as she proudly showed off her baby bump.
The actress beamed at cameras as she cradled her bump at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood ahead of the 96th Academy Awards. The High School Musical revealed she is expecting her first child as she posed for pictures on the red carpet. Cradling her blossoming bump, the star wore a floor length black dress accessorised with diamond jewellery and her long dark swept up in a long ponytail updo.
The actress and singer, who married husband baseball player Cole Tucker last year, is co-hosting the Academy’s official pre-show with Julianne Hough when she made her epic news.

Vanessa had previously been the subject of pregnancy rumours by fans last year, causing her to address the comments during an appearance on the March 6 episode of the She Pivots podcast. She said: "I literally just had a run-in with the public taking control over their opinion of me in a way that was disrespectful. I went out on my bachelorette party in October and I posted video of me, and there are all these comments that are like, ‘Oh my god, you’re pregnant.'"
Addressing the comments, Vanessa labelled them as "rude" as she continued: "I’m sorry I don’t wear Spanx every day and am a real woman and have a real body." She later added: "Don’t make assumptions in all aspects of life, but especially over other women’s bodies."

The Gigi actress first began dating the professional baseball player in 2020, after they met on a Zoom meditation session during the pandemic. They made their red carpet debut in November 2021, and tied the knot in December last year.
During an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show in May 2021, the actress revealed she was blown away by Cole, 27, when she first met him online. Recalling the moment she first laid eyes on him during a Zoom meditation, she said: “I get on the Zoom, and I'm like, 'Who is that?' I found him, and we started talking.”
The couple made their red carpet debut in November 2021, and in a sweet post on social media last year, Vanessa described her relationship with Cole as “real magnetic love”. She gushed: “What a journey it was to get here but so worth it to get to my forever @cotuck.”
