Mohamed Salah will start Liverpool's crunch Premier League title clash with Manchester City on the bench.

The Egyptian has not started a Premier League match since Liverpool's 4-2 win over Newcastle on the opening day of 2024. The 31-year-old came of the bench against Sparta Prague in midweek and will hope to make an impact, having already agreed to not be part of Egypt's squad in the upcoming international break.

Jurgen Klopp has made three changes from his side that faced Sparta Prague during midweek. Caoimhin Kelleher continues in goal in Alisson Becker's absence but sees two adjustments to his backline.

Conor Bradley returns to the starting lineup along with Virgil van Dijk. Ibrahima Konate drops out of the squad after being substituted with an issue on Thursday evening while Andrew Robertson only makes the bench.

Joe Gomez retains his place but looks likely to slot in a left back while Jarrell Quansah partners van Dijk in the centre of defence. Liverpool's final change sees Dominik Szoboszlai come into the side as Cody Gakpo drops out.

Mateo Kovacic, Oscar Bobb and Mateus Nunes make way for Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden. Unsurpisingly Erling Haaland leads the line once again with support from Julian Alvarez.
