Football fans can now serve their OWN beer at Premier League games at self-service machines.

The half-time, queue-busting gadgets are currently at Fulham ’s Craven Cottage and Brighton ’s Amex Stadium. For just £4.50 Fulham fans have been lapping up the cheap cost of their own pre-match pints of Camden Pale Ale.

Seagulls supporters are also serving up their own Moretti beers at matches. The machines are made by EBar, although fans do have to show ID to prove they are over 18. Then they just tap their contactless card, press a button and watch two beers arrive in under 30 seconds.

Fan William O'Neill said: “Cheapest pint in London.” Leeds supporter Dale Reid added: “Hopefully Leeds introduce this. The pints they pull are shocking.” However there is a divisive element to the decision, with some citing the lose of jobs.

One individual said it will put people out of work: “And there’s another person's job gone." Whilst another added: “Great even less jobs.”

But there is a catch, as the prices go up as it approaches kick-off. Supporter Ben Daly fumed: “Only £4.50 until 30 mins before kick off and after the game has finished.” A Fulham spokesperson said: “The early bird pricing for the machines is £4.50 a pint which is available until 30 minutes prior to kick off. From there, it is the regular price of £6.80.”

One Brighton fan joked: "What did you enjoy most about Brighton 3-0 Liverpool? The pour your own Moretti facility in the West Lower.” Another fan of the south coast club - where beers cost £4.95 - said: “That’s class.” A third added: “It worked really well, each station can do two pints. Member of staff handing out empty glasses. Never more than one or two people in front of you.” He then joked: “Shame it doesn’t dispense pies.”

An Ebar spokesperson praised the revolutionary machine. They said: “It’s a thing of beauty. We’ll be at more football grounds, stadia and festival areas this year.”

A piece of their website reads: “The EBar is a mobile self-service dispense kiosk, pouring the perfect drink in just a few seconds. The EBar was designed to transform the bar experience at events by providing a quick and simple way to buy a drink without the pain of a typical event bar.

“Utilising digital automation, contactless payment and our unique pouring technology – the EBar enables customers to order, pay and receive two perfect drinks in less than 30 seconds. Each EBar serves a single product from two dispensing nozzles, maximising service speed.

“We want everyone who wants to buy a drink to have a seamless experience but will always make sure that EBar units are used responsibly in accordance with national alcohol licensing legislation.”
