Presenter Eamon Holmes has done his best to document his health journey with fans after sharing that he had been suffering from "chronic" pain, despite undergoing spinal surgery two years ago.
In a candid post that he shared with his fans showing him lying down as a physiotherapist gently raised his leg in the air, he claimed it was "more painful" than it looked." With his arms crossed over his chest while wearing a navy blue fleece and a pair of black trousers, the former This Morning host, 64, was seen with his eyes scrunched together as he pursed his lips while going through the important leg exercises.

This is most days for me #Rehab ." In 2021, Eamon told fans that he had done something to his back but was unclear what he had actually done to cause him to receive chronic pain from there onwards.
At the time, he told his followers: "Those of you who follow me on social media will know [that] about a month ago I did something to my back. I don’t know how I did it – getting into the car, getting out of a car, getting out of bed, whatever. I’ve got an MRI scan, but the trouble is, everything closes for Easter, I haven’t got it analysed yet, but what I do know is, I can’t sleep at night.”
But back in 2016, he had also undergone a double hip replacement, which was meant to ease the pain in his legs and hips, which he had secretly suffered with for decades. Noticing one of their favorite celebrities in pain, Eamon's fans rushed to Instagram to send their well wishes. One person said: "Keep plugging away Eamonn, you got this." This was followed by a hands in prayer emoji.

Another fan wrote: "Wishing you well Eamon - I admire the fact you show people what is happening and it shows people who have similar conditions that they are not alone." A third penned: " Keep going Eamon as the saying goes, no pain, no gain x you can do it." Meanwhile a fourth person commented: "You are a trooper Eamon keep going my lovely. You are well loved & admired by many. We are all wishing you well."
When he told fans about his excruciating back pain he also said that the pain would get worse throughout the night. But eventually, his was pain was linked to three slipped discs, which resulted in spinal surgery in 2022. But sadly he faced more trouble. He told viewers on GB News: "Basically, I can't walk. I can do everything... everything above here [from his waist upwards] works, but it's the legs. And his co-host Isabel Webster added: "The op that you had has set you back, at the moment."
Eamonn replied: "Yes, it's set me back and it made me fall down stairs. My leg gave way and I fell down 18 stairs. So I fell down the spiral staircase, smashed my right shoulder." The presenter who is married to fellow presenter Ruth Langsford added: "The first thing you did was lean on my shoulder" to which Isabel laughed: "I won't be doing that again or you'll be off for another four months."
In a bid to become more mobile, Eamon was forced to rely on a mobility scooter but this generated mixed emotions from fans. Speaking to Best Magazine, he explained: "Some people were mocking me on social media... ‘Oh, look at Eamonn, he’s in a mobility scooter!’ I replied, saying, ‘I would prefer if I wasn’t in it but how else would I have got around?’ The alternative is I don’t go anywhere, and I sit in my armchair, work in the office. So, I go out... It’s mentally uplifting to get out.”
