Alisson's agent has claimed it is "impossible" that the goalkeeper will leave Liverpool amid shock links with Internacional.

The Reds shotstopper has been sidelined for recent games but remains a towering presence at Anfield. Alisson is among those who helped catapult Liverpool into a trophy-winning force following his arrival in 2018. He's claimed every honour since signing from Roma and is under contract until 2027.

That hasn't stopped speculation arising however which has left his agent having to answer questions. Ze Maria shut it down though and they told: “There’s nothing. There was no contact. At this moment, it is impossible”

Alisson started his career with the Brazilian club, coming through their academy and making 101 appearances. He won four Campeonato Gaucho titles before moving to the Italian capital in 2016, where he was able to establish himself as No 1 for the national side.

The Liverpool goalkeeper has played over 250 times for the Merseyside outfit but, like many of the club's players, will have questions asked over their future moves following the announcement that Jurgen Klopp is to depart after almost nine years at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk, two huge figures at the club, are among those to find themselves in the spotlight. Salah was heavily linked with a mega-money switch to Saudi Arabia last summer but eventually stayed put, albeit he is expected to move on at some point.

Van Dijk joined six months before Alisson with the pair given huge credit for what Liverpool went on to achieve. The Dutchman appeared to call his own future into question when quizzed after Klopp's departure was confirmed. He was originally asked about remaining at Anfield and said: "That's a big question. I don't know."

He later clarified his comments: "It is much taken out of context. To be 100 per cent clear, I am fully committed to the club. I love the club, I love the fans. It is fully taken out of context. It is not about me, it is not about I, it is about us, nothing has changed. Five days ago we weren't even speaking about my contract, so it's a bit silly. My full focus is on making sure this year is a very special year."
