A 71-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a pensioner.
Police officers were called to an address on Rising Brook, in Stafford, at around 6pm on Sunday March 3. An elderly man, in his seventies, was discovered seriously injured. Despite the efforts of medics, he could not be saved and was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 71-year-old man, from Rugeley, Staffordshire, was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody being questioned by detectives. Staffordshire Police has now urged anyone with information to get in touch with the force.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at just before 6pm on Sunday to a private address in Rising Brook, Stafford.
