Roy Keane summed up the size of the task facing Erik ten Hag and Manchester United this Sunday by simply announcing: "Oh my goodness!"

Keane isn't known for heaping unnecessary praise on players but made it clear he believes the pairing of Erling Haaland and Kevin De Bruyne in the Man City midfield poses a huge problem for his former team.

Speaking on Sky Sports, ahead of the Manchester derby, in which Haaland and De Bruyne start alongside each other for only the fourth time this season, Keane said: "I think Pep will be delighted.

"Looking at his bench there, considering where they are with them players that were missing, particularly De Bruyne, he was out for a number of months, to be in the position they are he will be delighted.

"They obviously had a great run out during the week against Luton where they could get back up to speed, obviously Haaland scoring goals with De Bruyne finding him with those quality passes.

"When you have got the two of them players together, oh my goodness. De Bruyne, for me, one of the best players ever in the Premier League. He is world-class with his goals and assists and attitude.

"And Haaland knows if he is making the right runs De Bruyne will find him and what an asset that is to have in your team. So I do worry a bit for United in that back four but you're talking about Haaland being a danger. De Bruyne. You have got to get to De Bruyne to stop that service."
