Kim Kardashian has been surrounded by surgery rumours

The Kardashians have been the envy of fans for years, with many people fascinated by how they achieved their famous bums.

Both Kim and Khloe Kardashian may have denied going under the knife to get their curves, but that hasn't stopped rumours swirling about bum fillers or Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) procedures. In recent years, the sisters have been accused of going under the knife again, this time to have bum plants removed.

Khloe and Kim have opted for a much more slimmer look recently, with both sisters often seen hitting the gym for hours at a time. With fans wondering about their new looks, aesthetics expert Dr Ahmed El Muntasar has explained to The Mirror why they may have wanted to change up their famous derrieres.

Dr Ahmed told us: "So regarding the Kardashians, a lot of them actually allegedly had bum implants. The bum results that they had before were more an actual kind of silicone implant.

"So I think they all got explanted to go for more of a skinnier look because I think like the big BBL look is not really in trend anymore. It's a bit more skinny with a bit of a bum, if you see what I mean."

The cosmetic doctor said he's witnessed a boom in bum procedures. He told The Mirror: "I think the bum is the new face, actually. So many people are coming in to ask for non-surgical bum lifts, non-surgical bum treatments, specifically to help with the skin, cellulite, dimpling in the skin, volume, roundness."

Speaking specifically about Kim, Dr Ahmed added: "When she had her bum removed, she probably needed some non-surgical enhancements. Probably things like Lanluma to help kind of tighten the skin and add a bit of natural projection."

Apprentice winner Dr Leah Totton explained what Lanluma is. She told The Mirror: "Lanluma is a non-surgical bum enhancement treatment, this injectable treatment will give a lifted, shapelier bottom, with results lasting two years."

She added: "The treatment encourages the body’s own production of collagen, and results are seen from two months, and progressively improve over nine months, allowing for a natural appearance."
