One lucky Brit has scooped an eye-watering £3.6million in the National Lottery's Set for Life game.

Winners of the Set for Life draw will have £10,000 deposited in their bank account every single month for the next 30 years. Runners-up, who match the five main numbers, will meanwhile land themselves a very comfy £10,000 a month for a year.

Senior Winners’ Advisor at The National Lottery, Andy Carter, said: "We are delighted that this fantastic Set For Life top prize has been claimed - the second top prize winner this month. They now join the lucky winner from the draw on 1 February - what great wins for both of these lucky ticket holders.

"Imagine the possibilities for them this year…and for the next 30 years! Our focus is now on supporting this latest lucky ticket-holder through the process and helping them start to enjoy their truly life-changing win.”

The draw takes place at 8pm every Monday and Thursday. You can play Set For Life daily until 11pm, or 7.30pm on draw days. Play continues after all draws at 9pm. Today, it was confirmed that someone came forward with their claims.

In September last year, a grandmother revealed that it was insects that motivated her to enter the Set for Life draw and scoop the life-changing win.

Lucky Doris Stanbridge grabbed the top prize on Thursday, August 3, a week after her 70th birthday after she was prompted to take a chance of the Lucky Dip Set For Life ticket after encountering two money spiders. Due to her incredible win, Doris, from Dorking, Surrey, is now able to retire alongside her 66-year-old husband Keith.

She said: "I wasn’t planning on retiring for a few more years but I am going to stop working in the next few months. Keith has already retired, only two weeks before all of this, so we can retire together now and enjoy it. It still seems a bit strange when I think about the win and that I will get that money every month for thirty years."
