Amy Dowden has revealed her latest health update was what she had "dreamed of" hearing.
The Strictly Come Dancing star - who was diagnosed with breast cancer - appeared on the One Show where she shared her incredible news with viewers. Host Alex Jones said: "Oh we have been worried sick about you. But good news last week about your cancer treatment." Amy shared: "Yes, there is no evidence of disease. I can't get the all clear for about five years but words I dreamed of.
Alex added: "Amy I am so pleased for you. My goodness, you have been through it over the last six months. It is good to see you and you look fantastic." Amy replied: "Oh thank you so much." The dancer then shared her upcoming TV show - Amy Dowden's Dare to Dance - where she helps make people's dancefloor dreams come true.
Amy revealed she was diagnosed with cancer while filming the show and called on her fellow Strictly stars for help. "They came to the rescue because I did get diagnosed with breast cancer whilst we started the series. I gave them a call and it was a lovely surprise for each of the contributors as well. It was brilliant," she said.
Speaking of her co-stars Amy added: "We go to each other for everything." Taking to social media, viewers praised Amy as one viewer said: "What a beautiful, amazing woman @dowden_amy is!" Another added: "Wow doesn’t Amy Dowden look fantastic as always #TheOneShow." Someone else commented: "Good to see Amy Dowden looking well and cancer free again. Poor girl has been through the mill."

Amy shared how she was told there's no evidence of the disease (BBC1)Her appearance on the One Show comes just days after sharing her huge health update with followers. The professional dancer was rushed to hospital last week as her family stayed by her side during the tough time. Amy took to her Instagram following her hospital stay and revealed she was "feeling much better now".
The 33-year-old has been open about her breast cancer diagnosis, having found a lump while on her honeymoon with husband Ben. She had a mastectomy and then was told by doctors that she had secondary cancer. Yet over the weekend Amy had incredible news to share.
Alongside snap of her beaming with joy with her arms in the air, Amy said: "NO EVIDENCE OF DISEASE! Words I dreamed of! My biggest accomplishment yet! I won’t be getting the all-clear for 5 years especially with a hormone fed cancer. But it was all worth it. Words I never thought I’d hear at one point.
"So grateful for all the care I received and continue to have. To my husband, family and friends who supported me unconditionally and to you guys! Thank you! I will still need a monthly injection for 5 years and regular check ups. Chemo and this past year has certainly took its toll on my body both physically and mentally, so I’ll be taking the next few months to heal and recover."
Amy continued: "I have so much to strive and live for, and so grateful for another chance at life! Something I know not all get. I certainly see life differently and my life has changed forever! Cancer affects too many so I will continue to do all I can to raise awareness and make sure I get as many as I can to #checkthemselves. It’s time to look ahead after what’s been the toughest year, and one I certainly didn’t expect!"
