The TikTok ghoul arrested for filming the body of Nicola Bulley being pulled from a river is still raking in cash on social media.

Web pest Curtis Arnold was detained and forced to delete his account after posting grim footage of officers probing the disappearance of the tragic mum-of-two. He also shared lies alleging Nicola’s partner, Paul Ansell, was involved in her disappearance.

Despite his sickening posts, social media bosses have failed to stop Arnold, 35, setting up new accounts – and using a fake name, he has been allowed to rack up over 74,000 followers across TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. His clips, filmed with a bodycam, show him harassing security at migrant hotels and car dealerships before being carted off by police.

It is unclear how much he earns from the nuisance stunts but users with similar follower numbers have been known to pocket hundreds of pounds per post. Arnold, a hairdresser, was one of several influencers who flocked to St Michael’s on Wyre, Lancs, when Nicola vanished while walking her dog on January 27 last year.

The eight-minute clip he posted the day Nicola’s body was recovered on February 19 earned him almost £1,000 in royalties. Arnold, from Kidderminster, Worcs, was arrested on suspicion of malicious communication offences.

No further action was taken but he was later arrested on suspicion of stalking Nicola’s neighbours and banned from entering the county under bail conditions. Arnold faced no charges but has a criminal past. He was jailed for fraud by false representation in 2018 after posing as a modelling agent and taking snaps of women in gyms that he shared on social media without their consent to sell his fitness products.

Arnold also got a six-month suspended sentence in 2010 for altering his car licence plate. Asked about his new videos, Arnold said: “This is not a story that will positively reflect on me, so I’ll leave you to it.”

Social media firms were slammed for failing to tackle conspiracy theories about Nicola’s case. A coroner ruled the mortgage adviser, 45, accidentally drowned when she fell into the River Wyre. TikTok declined to comment but the account has been banned since we went to it with our story. Facebook and Youtube were approached for comment.
