Serving police officer Beaumont Lamarre-Condon, also known as Beau Lamarre, 28, was charged with two counts of murder on Friday after police found evidence a police firearm had been discharged at Baird's home in Paddington, Sydney. A cartridge case and a large amount of blood were found at the address.
Lamarre, Baird's ex-boyfriend, was previously a celebrity blogger and handed himself into Bondi police station on Friday morning. He later appeared before a court and was refused bail, that same afternoon. His case has been adjourned until April 23 with police citing the need to have time to prepare evidence.
Australian detectives have stated they have yet to locate the men's bodies or confirm the cause of death. The New South Wales force allege the police officer killed the couple at Baird's home on Monday and hired a white van to dispose of their bodies.
"It's really important that we do locate the bodies, not only for the cause of death but for answers for the family... They are obviously devastated," Det Supt Doherty told reporters.
Baird had been a presenter and red carpet reporter on Network 10's morning show Studio 10 until the programme was axed in December, 2023. His boyfriend Mr Davies was a flight attendant for Qantas. Police officer Lamarre joined the force in 2019 and worked previously as a celebrity blogger, meeting the likes of Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Miley Cyrus.
