Lizzie Cundy has taken aim at sobbing Saudi 'snowflakes' who grumble about living overseas as their footballer husbands earn millions every month.

Last week, former Premier League star Riyad Mahrez's wife Taylor Ward opened up on life in the Middle East after he joined Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli over the summer. She says she is still "haunted" by their move from Manchester and cried as the 26-year-old, daughter of former footballer Ashley and Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn, complained about her lifestyle.

During Prime Video's Married To The Game" series, football star Mahrez brutally told her: "It's part of the game, isn't it." She went on to say: "He is very much just like, 'it is what it is, you've got to get over it now', whereas I'm more emotional." The WAG, whose husband reportedly earns £750,000 a week at his new club, was ruthlessly mocked online and dubbed out of touch.

Lizzie offered her verdict to MailOnline and like many, she appears to have little sympathy for the unhappy influencer. She said: "This WAG, for one, is Team Riyad - I moved four times in five years when I was married to Jason (Cundy) and I'd been given more notice when my personal trainer moved an appointment than some of the club transfers my ex-husband landed on me.

"I'm sorry Taylor, but you cannot go down the 'poor me' route when you are a WAG - you really do have to adopt the 'suck it up buttercup' approach to life. You've got the cars, the clothes, the Cheshire mansion, the private jet and the perma-tan... but having the bespoke silk rug pulled out from under you as you start a new life thousands of miles from home is going to be very bloody lonely."

Taylor, who wed the winger back in 2022, was hoping the new Amazon series will help show fans a different side to her life. "A lot of people see pictures on Instagram of our lives and think everything is so perfect and glamorous, but they don't see what we're like as people and what goes on behind the scenes" she said.

Talking about Saudi, she went on: "The vibe is just very different. It's a lot more chilled out there, it's quieter and calmer, whereas in Manchester life is so busy - there's so much going on and we're always going out for dinner and seeing friends. That's probably what I'm missing the most, seeing family and friends rather than what the country is missing.

"You can't compare it to the UK - it's nothing like here. I'm enjoying it so far, it just feels like I'm on holiday, I don't feel like I've moved there yet. Obviously it was a shock at the beginning. My grandparents still live in the UK and they were devastated that I was leaving. It's only a five-and-a-half hour flight if they want to see me. We'll just do trips there and back and family will come see me."
