Justin Fields' social media activity hints at Bears future amid trade drama

Chicago Bears' quarterback, Justin Fields, has recently unfollowed his team on social media. This move has sparked rumours about his future with the NFL franchise.

The Bears have the No. 1 pick in the upcoming NFL Draft, and there's a lot of talk about what they should do with it. Some experts think they should trade the top pick and stick with Fields, while others suggest they should use this chance to draft Caleb Williams from USC.

No one knows when Fields decided to unfollow the team. However, he does still follow other players in the league and his teammates, like Bears safety Elijah Hicks and offensive tackle Braxton Jones.

There's a possibility that the Bears could trade Fields before the free-agent signing period starts on March 13. The three-year QB has been linked to the Atlanta Falcons, who are believed to be on the hunt for a starting quarterback. Fields, who is originally from the area, had a decent season, throwing for 2,562 yards with 16 touchdown passes, nine interceptions and a passer rating of 86.3. Despite his efforts, the Bears finished last in the NFC North with a 7-10 record, after a disappointing 3-14 season the year before.

The Bears picked Fields as the 11th overall choice in the 2021 NFL Draft. Now, some people think the Bears might pick Williams if they keep their draft spot. The Chicago team also has the No. 9 pick and might choose a wide receiver to team up with Williams.

Recently, it's been said that the Bears have received offers for Fields while they were at the Senior Bowl. But no concrete offers have been made. The Bears will make their final decision on their quarterback in the weeks to come, with free agency and the scouting combine - which starts on February 26 in Indianapolis - likely to shape their direction.

Bears coach Matt Eberflus has said good things about Fields before. He said Fields is a great leader and player. His teammates in Chicago think he's a good starting QB too.

Eberflus talked about what he told Fields: "I talked to him in a general sense and just in terms of the position, of being an NFL quarterback," he told reporters.

"You're always going to get that. So you got to keep your eyes forward and your feet where they are. That's the most important thing. You got to focus on the here and now and improving every single day. When you do that, you're going to get better and you're going to be able to stay locked in on your job."

"He does that at a great rate every single week. I commend him for that," he said. "You got to be strong to do that, certainly during times of adversity. He stands on solid ground. He stands on his work ethic and the man that he is. He does that. He keeps his eyes forward and his feet where they are supposed to be."
