Stacey Solomon's Sort Your Life Out co-star Dilly Carter spoke about her 'very raw' return to the series after receiving cancer treatment.

Dilly, 43, has been a regular on the hit show took to social media in September to explain to fans that she was absent from the show for some time as she had been diagnosed with cancer. At the time, fans noticed she was missing from the series so Dilly took to social media to inform them she was undergoing surgery to remove her cancer during the time of filming in December 2022.

The surgery lasted for almost six hours as surgeons worked to remove a stage three tumour from her womb. The operation was successful but she said she was in a lot of pain at the time. She later confirmed she was no longer able to have children naturally.

With the return of the fourth season of Sort Your Life Out, Dilly took to social media to share what it was like returning to the show after some time away. She posted a slew of behind-the-scenes selfies with the cast and crew as well as with the family they were helping out.

"Where do I even start with the first show back?" Dilly wrote. "All I can say is thank you to the most incredible family for trusting us with your home and your family, for allowing us in at the hardest of times. Thank you Mery, Wren and Craig extraordinary beautiful humans full of love, life and warmth which shone through our screens tonight and how lucky to have Lois’s gorgeous mum and sister to support him through it all. The most gorgeous women ever!"

She continued: "This episode was my first back after my cancer surgery and marked the beginning of my road to radiation…. So it was very raw, but as always with everything within sort your life out, whether you are a family on the show or a member of the production, you are loved and looked after every single minute of the day. Congratulations gang on an amazing first episode!"

The new episode has Stacey and the gang helping out a widower and his two young kids after his wife, Lois, died from cancer a few years before. Earlier this month, Dilly took to her social media page to open up about how much cancer changed her and her family's life.

"Not only did it take away my ability to have children again it has affected my daily life forever from the way I eat to the amount of time I can spend on my feet," she said. "The scars and the daily side effects are just the physical reminders. The mental effects are with you forever. No matter how much you try to ignore it and carry on. You will carry that weight around forever. What it didn’t do however is take my life."
