Any household paying monthly for a broadband bill will likely be well aware of the price hikes that are hitting customers this 2024. Sky is one provider upping its rates, having confirmed a 6.7% rise, but NOW Broadband has just launched a powered-by-Sky plan for a much cheaper price.

Sky is among the likes of Virgin Media, BT, EE, Plusnet, and TalkTalk upping the cost for mid-contract users, but unlike the rivals we've listed Sky will allow you to switch and ditch the hikes, as long as you stick to key time. Yes, the provider is giving billpayers a chance to avoid the extra fees as long as they switch within 30 days.

It's one of just two providers that will let affected customers switch without paying any exit fees as NOW Broadband introduces the 30-window for existing bill payers too. As USwitch highlights, those including EE, BT and Virgin Media will charge you to leave.

This means any existing Sky broadband customer grappling with the notice that their bill will be hiked can switch and make the most of a current flashy price drop. This NOW Broadband offer may be ideal for switch Sky users as it offers a much cheaper price on Full Fibre 100Mbps broadband - and techies will spot that it is in fact powered on Sky's network.

At £25 a month, users are locked into an 18-month plan and will pay a £10 upfront fee bringing the total to £460 - that's £53 cheaper than Sky's £28.50 a month sale price. Once Sky's current sale comes to an end, clicking on the 100Mbps plan powered by Sky at NOW will save users a huge £224, for the exact same speeds and coverage.

Vodafone is another retailer offering cheaper full fibre speeds as it cuts up to £250 off its Full Fibre plans, although eager users only have until March 14 to grab the deal.

Thanks to its current February deal you can get up to £200 off. Of course, this depends on the plan you pick, with five different plans up for grabs. Starting with its slowest 73Mbps plan from £27 a month or 100Mbps from £29 a month, Vodafone's biggest 910Mbps plan starts at £39 a month.

And a recent flick-through shows that the broadband retailer will let you jump onto one of its competitive plans from Sky. On its site, the provider states: "Leave Sky for free when you switch to Vodafone broadband."
