Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan has revealed he had to rush his young daughter to hospital just hour after discovering his ex-co-star Robin Windsor had died.
The 45-year-old dance professional said he was having a ‘truly horrible day’ as he dealt with a family emergency after discovering Robin had died at the age of 44. James is proud dad to three-year-old daughter Ella - who he shares with fellow ex-Strictly star Ola Jordan, 41, who he has been married to since 2003.
Sharing a photo of his daughter on social media, James explained that he had been forced to rush her to hospital as she was being left vomiting due to coughing fits. The health scare came at the same time as the tragic news of Robin’s passing.
The image showed Ella looking downcast while looking at a plaster that had been stuck on the back of her hand. Ola shared the same image and message on her own Instagram page.

Myself not being able to sleep so going on my phone to see the loss of a Strictly Legend and friend - Robin Windsor.

"Getting to the doctors at 9am and being sent to the hospital with Ella to have lots more test - including bloods (very traumatic). Anyway - we all just got home but feel mentally drained. Hope you all had a better one than us [red heart emoji] Sending love to all of you."
James's post was met with a wall of sympathy, with one fan writing in response: "Poor Ella, I truly hope that she gets a break soon and is back to her old self. I’m sorry for the loss of your friend too truly shocking he was younger than us." And another typed: "Sending all our love to you all.We’re so sorry to hear of Robin’s passing and really hope that Ella has a speedy recovery."

They wrote: "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved friend, Robin Windsor. Robin’s presence in Come What May was more than just a performance; it was an embodiment of passion, grace, and sheer talent. His extraordinary ability to express emotion through movement captivated audiences, leaving them spellbound with every step.
"Beyond his impeccable dancing, Robin’s vibrant spirit lit up the room, infusing rehearsals and performances with infectious energy and warmth. His laughter was contagious, his kindness boundless. His friendship was a gift cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him."
They added: "Robin, you will be deeply missed. Though Come What My will continue without you, your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in your light."
