Boxing fans are convinced a 'time traveller' was spotted at Mike Tyson's legendary fight against Peter McNeeley in 1995. Iron Mike quickly defeated McNeeley, with the fight ending in the first round after just 89 seconds.

Years later, a theory emerged about a fan who appeared to be filming the fight on a 'smartphone'. The device looked similar to modern smartphones, sparking the 'time traveller' theory.

In the picture, a blurred spectator appeared to have a white phone in front of their face, seemingly recording the action inside the ring. The 'phone' even had black spots in similar positions to modern-day camera lenses.

But, while some fans liked the idea of a time traveller choosing to spend their precious minutes in another generation by watching a boxing fight, it appears not everything is as it seems. The idea was debunked by Inside Edition's YouTube channel, reports the Daily Star.

Les Trent, the presenter, sought to clear the air by stating: "We did some digging and found out the device in the video is not a smartphone at all." He then clarified: "It's an early version of a camcorder called a Dycam Logitech." Concluding with, "So for the time being, it looks like we'll have to leave time travel to the movies."

Meanwhile, a self-proclaimed time traveller claims to have returned from the year 2671 to warn us of impending disasters including one this weekend. Eno Alaric, who is also known as @radianttimetraveller on TikTok, has built up a following of more than 826,000 followers as he tells of looming catastrophes that are set to affect the world.

He advised of bizarre and sometimes horrific events that he claims will happen including an earthquake and a “Pandora’s Box” that will take people to another universe. But before that the time traveller is saying that there will be a devastating tornado, the first ever force six, that will hit Houston in Texas and will be the worst ever to affect humans.
