Kate Ferdinand revealed one of her children had a 'serious accident' over the weekend.
The 31-year-old shares two-year-old Cree with Rio Ferdinand and is stepmother to his children Tia, 11, Tate, 13, and Lorenz, 15.
She took to Instagram on Monday to tell fans that they are doing 'ok' but things could have been 'so much worse'.
"Morning guys, It's a different type of Monday for me this week, it's been a really stressful weekend!" Kate explained.
"One of the kids had a serious accident, thank goodness they are ok & have only ended up with their leg in a cast, it could have been so much worse, we are definitely being watched over."
Rio Ferdinand delivers verdict on Marcel Sabitzer transfer with no hesitationAlong with a picture of her cosy bed, she added: "I also have shingles. Feeling really rubbish and sore and emotional from this weekend's events.
"So me & Rons [her dog] are chilling in bed for the morning. I would be so grateful for any advice."
Kate has been open about her family life and recently opened up about her miscarriage heartbreak.
She revealed she knew it was bad news because of the specialist's 'awful' silence during the scan.
The wife of former England and Manchester United star Rio admitted she felt different during the pregnancy but thought it might be because they were having a daughter this time.
Speaking to her own Blended podcast, she said: "It was really hard when you're grieving a loss that no one can see."
She added: "When I think back I did feel sick at the beginning and not as sick after that. I was a little bit anxious. But I'm quite an anxious person anyway. I worry about everything.
"I spoke to Rio about it and we were like, 'Maybe I'm just panicking'. Then we went to our 12-week scan. We went for lunch before and I went to the toilet and there was blood there.
"And I just felt like God was giving me a sign. I came up and went and told Rio and we were both trying to pretend, 'This isn't happening' and 'It'll be fine'."
She continued: "That walk to the hospital felt like the longest walk ever. The minute I looked at the lady, she didn't even have to say anything, I just looked at her face.

"I just burst into tears, she hadn't even said anything and Rio was like, 'Calm down' and I was like, 'I know, I know, I know' and they said there's no heartbeat."
