It's a huge week for Liverpool, who have a chance to make a big statement in the league while also claiming their first silverware of the season.

Jurgen Klopp's team face a trip to Brentford on Saturday before welcoming Luton Town to Anfield for a midweek clash. After that comes the final of the Carabao Cup, where they face Chelsea in a repeat of the 2022 showpiece.

Every game is huge for Klopp, who announced in January that this would be his final season at the helm. The German is set to take time out at the end of his nine years with the Reds, and no decision has been made regarding his successor.

The change in the dugout is one of several question marks, and fans are sure to have their own feelings on the matter. One of the contenders is among the individuals discussed in Mirror Football's latest lines from around Anfield.

Flick's ready to return to dugout

Former Bayern Munich and Germany manager Hansi Flick is among the names linked with the soon-to-be-vacant managerial job at Liverpool and has changed agents - seemingly in preparation to return to management. Flick has hired Pini Zahavi and his Gol International agency as his new representatives, with the group currently working with clients including Barcelona striker Robert Lewandowski.

Flick has been out of work since September, having left his post as Germany boss after a 4-1 defeat to Japan. He was also in charge at the 2022 World Cup, when another defeat to Japan contributed to Germany's group-stage exit.

The 58-year-old's most recent club managerial role was at Bayern Munich, with whom he won the 2019-20 Champions League. Liverpool aren't the only club to be linked, though, with Barcelona after a successor to Xavi come the summer.

Mac Allister's brother reflects on Europa clash

Alexis Mac Allister's brother Kevin was awestruck when the pair faced off in the Europa League. Kevin was an ever-present in Europe for Union SG and went up against his sibling in a 2-0 loss at Anfield.

“I had already played against [eldest brother] Francis, but never against Alexis,” Kevin told De Morgen (via Sport Witness). “It was a proud moment for the whole family. And man, playing at Anfield… that was very normal for my brother, but that is something very special. I had to pinch myself.

“Who would have thought this when we were little boys walking around Buenos Aires. You would pay a lot of money to experience something like that. It was just perfect.”

Bradley wins Premier League award

Conor Bradley has won the PFA's Premier League Fans' Player of the Month award for his performances in January. The young full-back only made his debut in the competition in the middle of the month, but a pair of impressive outings got him the nod ahead of the likes of Manchester City's Kevin De Bruyne and Arsenal's Gabriel Magalhaes.

Right-back Bradley, who played in the Europa League and the Carabao Cup before the turn of the year, made his top-flight debut against Bournemouth on January 14. Liverpool won that game 4-0, and the defender scored his first senior goal in the following league game against Chelsea.

"I have loved him from the first days and didn’t need a lot of convincing," manager Klopp said after the Chelsea game. "The thing is Conor showed up extremely well in pre-season, did extremely well at Bolton. He comes back, looks top and does well in pre-season, wow and is out for four months with the back, it is the kind of issue that only young people have.

"Thank God time could sort it. It will not get better but in that age group it gets better. It is a joy to watch him since he comes back and all credit to the Academy."
