Disney+ fans don’t have long to wait for the return of Extraordinary, as the hotly anticipated second season is just around the corner. The award-winning British comedy follows an ordinary young woman struggling to find her place in a world where most people develop a random superpower once they turn 18.
Streaming in March, season two will see Jen (Máiréad Tyers) and the gang dealing with new levels of adulting and chaos that none of them are prepared for as the new instalment picks up where season one spectacularly left off. It will follow Jen on her powers journey as she enrols as a client at the power clinic, but soon discovers that the process of finding her power isn’t as easy as she hoped and things in the rest of her life aren’t smooth sailing either.
Former-cat-turned-boyfriend Jizzlord (Luke Rollason) will have an unexpected revelation about his past, while Kash (Bilal Hasna) and Carrie (Sofia Oxenham) do their best to be mature and dignified about their break-up – which is not easy when living under the same roof. Written by series creator Emma Moran, Extraordinary is billed as a “fresh and innovative” comedy about being young and finding your feet in a confusing world when all you’ll ever be is ‘ordinary’.
