The Wanted singer Siva Kaneswaran has opened up about how his bandmate Tom Parker inspired him to 'face his fears' and sign up for Dancing on Ice. It comes after he paid a difficult and emotional visit to the hospice where Tom passed away at the age of 33, with stage four glioblastoma brain cancer last March.
Siva took the trip to support Tom's wife Kelsey Parker on the sixth and final episode of her ITV documentary Life After Tom. The pair revisited The Lavender Room, where Siva recalled Kelsey's mum breaking the news to family and friends that Tom had died. They discussed the overwhelming grief and Siva said: "On the day, I was a mess."
Siva joined Kelsey in her first visit back to Tom's hospice (ITVBe)Talking about her close friendship with Siva, Kelsey said: "I just love Siva so much because he's so soft and gentle and calming. He's just got such a good soul."
The mum-of-two shared a video clip of their visit on Instagram and wrote: "This was a difficult [episode] to film but a very important part of our story.
"It was so special to go back to the hospice who cared for Tom and remember his final hours with @sivaofficial.

Siva also posted the footage on social media and added: "Beyond proud of you Kels and family and thank you so much for sharing this intimate part of your lives with us."
The six-part docuseries follows Kelsey on her journey of grief, from Tom's 34th birthday to her first family holiday and first red carpet event without him.
Kelsey opened up about how she can no longer listen to The Wanted's music, and finds it hard when their children, Aurelia and Bodhi, request it.
The pair discussed their grief and emotions since Tom's death (ITVBe)"I can't even listen to The Wanted songs. I can't do it and the kids want to play Glad You Came all the time and I go, 'No, Glad You Came is banned'," she said.
Kelsey added: "Tom was the most amazing singer and I used to love listening to him. I find it so hard now when I actually find his music... I would give anything to listen to him in that studio one last time."
The couple were together for 13 years and married in July 2018, then went on to have Aurelia in 2019 and Bodhi in 2020 - shortly after Tom received his diagnosis.
