Liverpool were able to bounce back from last weekend's 3-1 defeat to Arsenal by beating Burnley 3-1 at Anfield on Saturday.
The victory saw Jurgen Klopp's side move back to the top of the table after Manchester City briefly leapfrogged them, having beaten Everton 2-0 before Liverpool's game even kicked off. The Reds are still competing for four different trophies this season and are hoping to give manager Jurgen Klopp a fitting send-off.
Klopp has announced he will be stepping down as Liverpool boss next summer after almost nine years in charge. However, he is keen for his impending departure not to be a distraction for the remainder of the campaign and attention will already have turned to Liverpool's next league game against Brentford. Here, Mirror Football rounds up all the latest Liverpool news.
The win over Burnley was unfortunately overshadowed by an injury to Trent Alexander-Arnold, who has suffered a recurrence of the knee problem that saw him miss three games last month.
"Yeah, he felt it. He stuck it in the grass and we have to do an assessment," Klopp said in his post-match press conference. In a separate interview with Sky Sports, he added: "Same area in the knee.
Klopp's dream Liverpool line up as last-gasp January transfers rejected"Nothing really bad, but he felt it again and we have to see, we have to assess it. Trent said it's fine, but it's not fine [because] he feels it so we had to be careful and took him off."

When Klopp leaves Liverpool at the end of the season, the first thing he plans on doing is helping finish off the work being done on two of his properties.
Klopp has vowed to take at least a year away from football to focus on his family life, including work that is currently being carried out on his two properties in Wiesbaden and Mallorca.
And he admits it is the property in Mallorca that has caused the biggest headaches so far, saying: "The bloody thing's not even ready yet and I'm paying the bills." Klopp and his wife Ulla bought the property in 2022 for £3.4million, but renovation work is behind schedule and the 56-year-old is now planning "to get stuck in" himself.

The Burnley boss was given a yellow card during his side's loss to Liverpool, with the booking meaning he will now serve a touchline ban when the Clarets host Arsenal next weekend.
Klopp was also shown a yellow card by referee Tim Robinson and Kompany claimed after the match that he was only booked because his opposite number had already wound up the officials. "I think I got booked because I should have paid attention to the fact that Jurgen Klopp got booked because then all I think the referee did was just went looking for me," he said.
"I opened my arms out, which I have done exactly that in many games. Then all of a sudden the card comes out. Out of nothing. Now I am suspended for the next game. I should have known it was just a way to balance it out and it doesn't make sense, but hey, we have to keep going. No sulking."
