King Charles' cancer diagnosis will not reunite Harry and William - poll results
More than seven thousand Mirror readers are convinced King Charles’ cancer diagnosis will not reunite Prince Harry and Prince William.
This comes as the Duke of Sussex is reported to have not met with his brother during his brief 26-hour visit to the UK on Tuesday. The younger prince jetted to London to see his father following the shocking health announcement, but their conversation lasted just 30-minutes.
Harry was pictured arriving at Clarence House at around 3:15pm, but half an hour later the King and Queen were seen leaving their home. Despite hopes that the upsetting news could rekindle the brother’s relationship, it has been reported that the Prince of Wales is not ready to put aside their long-lasting feud.
Relations between the siblings have been strained since Harry left royal duties in 2020, and the release of his bombshell book Spare - where the Duke claimed William physically attacked him. According to one royal expert, the older prince has "no interest" in speaking to Harry until he apologises.
Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, told The Sun: "As far as William is concerned he has absolutely no interest in speaking to Harry until Harry behaves like a gentleman and apologises for the years of rudeness and slurs he has aimed at William and the Princess of Wales."

The former aide to Princess Diana, Paul Burrell, is hopeful that the health scare will restore their bond. Speaking to GB News, he said: "I think this could be the step we need towards reconciliation between William and Harry. Though their father is ill, the two sons should come together to support the King, certainly in private behind closed doors."
A source told The Mirror that William is reportedly focusing his attention on Princess Kate's surgery recovery, and there was "nothing in the diary" for them to meet. Another royal insider said that Harry would have "gladly accepted" the chance to meet up with his sibling.
We asked Mirror readers if they think Charles’ cancer diagnosis will reunite the brothers, and a staggering 85 percent have said 'No, it won’t'. Around 8,646 people voted in our poll, and a hefty 7,300 are convinced the siblings will remain distant.
Voicing their opinions in the comments section, one reader wrote: "No Prince William will not meet with Harry! He may be there to see the king but he is not to be trusted, he always has a hidden agenda!"
Another penned: "There won’t be a reconciliation. Harry will have to show he has changed for many years before he can be trusted. He hurt his family very deeply. These actions aren’t forgiven. No one will trust him or speak around him." A third echoed: "Harry is not to be trusted after all the harm he has caused the Royal Family and Prince William is right in not seeing him!"
"Prince William is not a walk-over and I'm sure he doesn't want his brother to benefit from his father's illness by using it as a doorway back into the royal family," shared another.
While a fifth expressed: "William says he doesn't want to see his brother Harry. Do you think Harry wants to see him? He acts like everybody in the world wants to see him. Harry doesn't want to see him. Harry came to see his father, that's it."
Meanwhile, 11 percent of readers believe that the diagnosis will end their feud, as one person wrote: "As we welcome Harry obviously who's maturity in family matters steps above minor gossip squabbles, we see a man of depth and maturity and hope Charles, William can each adopt the same attitude to improve their well being and that of all members of the royal family."
Another wrote: "They need to come together as a family for their dad," while a third responded: "Because they are family and will probably regret it later on."
"It does not matter now who said or did what. They are coming together because of their fathers illness. Please tell me that we as a country have not become so hate filled that we cannot see this is not the time for animosity between the brothers," wrote one reader. Only four percent selected the option 'Other' in our poll.
