Cristiano Ronaldo has lifted the lid on his first ever Scudetto win with Juventus and claimed it was one of the most "special" moments of his career following his move to Al-Nassr.

Ronaldo, 37, had a successful three-year stint with the Italian giants before he was lured back to Manchester United last summer. During his time in Turin, Ronaldo lifted the Coppa Italia and won two league titles while scoring 101 goals in 134 appearances for the Old Lady.

The Portuguese superstar arrived in Italy following a trophy-laden spell with Real Madrid - but he says that landing his first trophy with Juventus stands out as one of the most memorable moments of his illustrious career.

Ronaldo, who was reflecting on his time with Juventus for LiveScore’s ‘Memorable matches’ show on Youtube, recalled: "I scored a header against Donnarumma. When you win a title it’s all special because during the year you dedicate yourself to achieving something great. When you get your first trophy in a team it is always special. This one with Juventus is definitely a great memory.

"For me Juventus was a different journey in my life. I signed at the age of 33, opening a new chapter after being at Real Madrid for nine years."

Despite successful stints at Juventus and Real Madrid, Ronaldo's romantic return to Manchester United did not go according to plan and he and the club agreed to part ways during the World Cup last month.

Since then, Ronaldo has penned a lucrative two-and-a-half-year contract with Al-Nassr to see out his career in the Middle East: a deal that makes the five-time Ballon d'Or winner the highest paid footballer in the world, with an annual salary of £173million.

Although Ronaldo has yet to make his eagerly anticipated debut in the Saudi Pro League due to a ban he incurred at United last year, he has already been heavily criticised for moving to the Middle East - even though he insisted that he was eager to move overseas for a new challenge after achieving everything he set out to in European football.

He was warned ahead of his debut earlier this week by Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez that the Saudi Pro League is a "challenge", with the Spaniard also insisting that people claiming Ronaldo has taken the easy option by moving to Saudi Arabia are wrong.

Xavi, who spent six years playing in Qatar as a player and a manager with Al Sadd, said: "Ronaldo has signed for one of the best clubs in Saudi Arabia, but it's a challenge. This league is very complicated. I played against several of their teams when I coached Al Sadd. It will be a challenge."
