Colin Farrell looks completely unrecognisable as The Penguin on the set of the new Batman-themed television series in New York City, with the actor looking worlds away from his usual self.

The Irish actor will be at the helm of a new American television series, which will stream on Max. The series will revolve around the iconic DC Comics character Penguin, with the eight-episode series serving as a spin-off from the 2022 movie, The Batman.

Colin will be at the forefront as viewers watch The Penguin's rise to power in Gotham City's criminal underworld. Filming began in March 2023 but due to the Writers Guild of America strike, filming and production were suspended.

In November, filming started back up again, with Colin now seen almost a year on from when he was last seen filming for the show as The Penguin. One year ago, in March 2023, the Irish actor was covered up by layers of prosthetics to help him achieve the look of Oswald 'Oz' Cobblepot.

And now, almost a year on, he has been spotted looking very different again while stepping into the shoes of The Penguin. New snaps of Colin as Oswald AKA The Penguin see him standing in the middle of a very misty set while donning oversized clothes that appear to be covered in dirt and dust.

Looking wildly different and completely unrecognisable from the actor we all know and love, Colin appeared to be sporting a hefty amount of facial prosthetics to alter the shape and appearance of his facial features. His body shape also appeared more bulky than usual, with his silhouette looking a lot different.

For those not in the know, Colin's role of Oswald Cobblepot, who becomes The Penguin, is a disfigured crime lord and the former chief lieutenant of the late crime boss Carmine Falcone, who will soon become a criminal kingpin in his own right
