It's officially deadline day - but it doesn't seem likely that there will be much transfer activity at Liverpool.

Former Manchester United striker Dimitar Berbatov believes former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso is the natural successor to Jurgen Klopp.
The Anfield chief will stand down from his role in the summer and Alonso, who is currently top of the Bundesliga and thriving as the head coach of Bayer Leverkusen, has been heavily touted as the German's successor.
Berbatov believes the appointment is a no-brainer, telling Betfair: "The only name that popped straight in my mind when it was announced Klopp was leaving was Xabi Alonso."

Liverpool have lodged an inquiry for Atalanta midfielder Ederson, according to Goal Brasil.
The 24-year-old is also coveted by a handful of other top Premier League teams, including Arsenal and Manchester United. Paris Saint-Germain are also admirers of the Brazilian international.
Ederson is currently contracted until the summer of 2026 and the report outlines that all of his suitors are making plans to capture him in the summer transfer window, rather than before tomorrow night's deadline.
