Meanwhile, officers in Mount Vernon, Washington, are continuing their search for Ella Celeste Jones, a 14 year old girl who has been missing since January 6. Her family fear she may have left with a man in his 20s whom she met online. Ella's mum, Sarah Merrill, told police that her daughter was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, multi-coloured plaid pyjama pants and black Nike Air Forces.
Nicola Bulley's children 'cried their eyes out' after being told 'mummy's lost'Ella left a mysterious note for her mum hinting at a romance with an older guy, as The Mirror reported before. Sarah shared: "She wrote a note saying she loved me and that she didn't want to hurt us anymore". Sarah remembered the last time she saw Ella, saying it was a normal night.
"She was here at bedtime and we had a normal evening. She even laid with me right before I went to bed. I was tired because I had a long week at work. And she said, 'I love you. Goodnight' and left the room." Ella's pals had worried about her chatting to an older man on Omegle, a website where you talk to random strangers.
Sarah is now worried this man might have been tricking Ella online for a while, as the search in Mount Vernon goes on. Sarah added: "The only thing I do know for sure is that she had been talking to a man online. Another woman may or may not have seen her on a bus from Everett to Seattle, which is why we're in Seattle today just trying to put up fliers. I'm more emotional sitting home. And so I really want to have my boots on the ground."
