Some of Britain’s top sport stars are set to be filmed in a fly-on-the-wall TV series as they prepare for this summer’s Olympics in Paris.
Gold medal contenders such as diver Tom Daley and swimmer Adam Peaty are likely to feature. The behind-the-scenes footage will capture the highs and lows of being an elite athlete. One series will focus on the Olympics and another will be on the Paralympics.
While some of the featured athletes are likely to bring home medals, others filmed early in the Olympic year might not even make the team.
In 2008, ahead of the Olympics in Beijing, the BBC showed heptathlete Dame Jessica Ennis-Hill being told that injury had ruled her out of the Games after years of hard work and sacrifice. She went on to take gold at London 2012. This time around, the series could feature the likes of 15-year-old skateboarder and surfer Sky Brown.
More of our biggest names filmed while training for the greatest show on earth could include gymnast Max Whitlock, swimmers Tom Dean and Duncan Scott, and cyclists Dame Laura Kenny and Tom Pidcock.

Sports chiefs are keen to raise the profile of their events in the hope of attracting vital sponsorship. Talks are at an advanced stage with an independent production company. The series is likely to be shown on Channel 4.
A Channel 4 spokesman said it is “too early to give any details on our coverage”.
