We heard that there's a pretty big day coming up in the next few weeks, one that typically involves a whole load of flowers and love. That's right - Valentine's Day is just around the corner and with many of us gearing up to gift (if you've not already prepped ahead of time) our loved ones, you may be after some inspiration - especially if they, like us, are a little bit celebrity obsessed.

With flowers being a timeless, gorgeous and not to mention delightfully smelling way to show your appreciation for your other half, you may be stumped over what sort of flowers they would want - especially if they're not big on your standard roses.

Now, of course, a rose is a rose and you can't exactly be unhappy with a big old bunch of these. But you don't need to always go for the classic red. While it is the typical flower of Valentine's, there are many other flowers that are equally as beautiful - and romantic.

And we're not the only ones who think so. We've done a bit of research and have found just some of our fave celebrities' go-to flowers that'll hopefully help inspire you for the big day - especially if your other half is a bit of a celebrity/influencer fiend.

Molly Mae Hague - Gypsophila

In Molly Mae's latest Instagram post, her kitchen can be seen covered in gorgeous, cloud-like bunches of white gypsophila - sometimes known as baby's breath - as she celebrated her daughter's first birthday. These flowers are simply breathtaking on their own, but if you want to spruce up that bouquet of red roses that your heart is set on, some strands of gypsophila will add luxury, delicacy and charm as well as making your flower bunch look extra dreamy.

What's more is these flowers aren't just pretty (causing them to be a pretty popular wedding flower), but they actually have beautiful symbolism behind them.

Gyphsophila represents purity, innocence and everlasting love - a beautiful message to send on Valentine's Day, no?

Plus, they're more on the cheaper side - if you're on a budget - and you can get a bouquet from Sainsbury's for only £2.25. Get a few to really make a statement.

Michelle Keegan - Carnations

According to Hello! Magazine, Michelle Keegan always keeps fresh flowers in her house - in particular carnations. These flowers - whose scientific name is dianthus caryophyllus - are loved for their vibrant colours and delicate fringed petals that are so beautiful and add a gorgeous texture to any bunch of flowers. As well as, of course, their gorgeous fragrance.

As one of the world's best-selling flowers, as reports Interflora, they are hugely versatile in that they can be used as the centre point of a bouquet or as a supporting act to other bold florals like large headed roses, sunflowers or lilies. Alongside Michelle Keegan, the carnation is one of Paris Hilton's favourite flowers too - and of course in the boldest pink available.

What's more is their meaning is typically romantic: Devotion.

This gorgeous bouquet from Bloom & Wild, named The Sally - £27 - features carnations amongst lavender, stocks, September and eucalyptus.

Okay. I know we were saying to avoid red roses, but these pinkish white roses from FLOWERBX are positively dreamy. And if they're good enough for Victoria Beckham, they're good enough for us. Plus, you can get them same day (if you live in London) or next day for elsewhere in the UK.

This picture perfect FLOWERBX bouquet has been spotted time and time again on Victoria Beckham's Instagram story. There are nine different colours you can choose from varying from pink to orange to yellow to red. But for VB, the Pink Sweet Avalanche roses are the most gorgeous and if you're after something a little different for Valentine's Day, go pink to make your other half wink.

While red roses symbolise passion and love, pink roses showcase admiration, happiness, and love. Aw!

Get them from FLOWERBX from £55 here.

Sharing a rare insight into the relationship between her and her husband, Frankie posted a picture in which her two children gave her a big bunch of assorted flowers from Athena Flowers florist. While we can't find the exact bouquet she received, we're pretty sure it's similar to this stunning Amore bunch that consists of red Rhodos roses, victorian peach roses, dark pink lisianthus, dark pink astilbe, pink waxflower, lavender antirrhinums, white hellebores and eucalyptus cinerea.

With height and big and bold flowers, they are a real grand gesture to your loved one and make a big change from your standard rose collection.

Get them from Athena Flowers here for £90.
