Sky Sports accidentally captioned Axel Disasi as Noni Madueke following Chelsea's 6-1 win against Middlesbrough on Tuesday.

Chelsea romped to an emphatic victory at Stamford Bridge to reach the Carabao Cup final. The Blues went into to Tuesday's second leg with a one-goal deficit but quickly levelled the tie when Middlesbrough's Jonny Howson put the ball through his own net.

Enzo Fernandez, Disasi, Cole Palmer (twice) and Madueke then all scored for Mauricio Pochettino's side, while Morgan Rodgers hit a late consolation for the visitors. Chelsea will now face the winners of the other semi-final between Liverpool and Fulham. The second leg takes place at Craven Cottage on Wednesday, with Liverpool boasting a 2-1 lead.

After scoring his second goal for the club, Disasi was asked to speak to Sky Sports about Chelsea's emphatic victory. Yet the TV channel made a blunder by displaying Madueke's name in their screen caption, with one Blues fan describing it as a "huge mistake".

Other Chelsea supporters have made their feelings known on X. One called Sky Sports' howler "embarrassing", while another urged them to "do much, much better". Disasi, a 25-year-old French defender, is four years older than Madueke, an English winger.

Despite the mistake, Disasi was delighted to reach his first cup final with Chelsea. The five-cap international arrived at Stamford Bridge from Monaco in a £38.5million deal last August and has played regularly since, making 26 appearances under Pochettino.

"Today was a great game after losing the first game," Disasi told Sky Sports at full-time. "I'm happy because we showed another face and deserved to win. For me, it will be the first time I go to Wembley so I'm happy about this.

"After the first game, we were all angry and the coach said we had to push and play hard. He put me at right-back and I tried to do my best for the team. We have to keep this mentality in the league also to win more games. I think we are in a good way and need to stay focused."

Palmer also spoke to Sky Sports after Tuesday's game - but with the correct caption. He said: "After the first game, we knew it'd be difficult but to get the win and go to Wembley for the first time this season, it's going to be a good day.

"I missed three sitters in the first game so it was always in the back of my mind coming into this game. To score two and go through to Wembley, I'm happy. We've not had the best of starts, there is no hiding it but to go to Wembley is a great opportunity to get a trophy and we're looking forward to it."
