We need an inquiry
Folk are right to smell a rat when the Tories resist a public inquiry into the brutal Battle of Orgreave during the 1984-85 miners’ strike for jobs.

The indefatigable Orgreave Truth and Justice Campaign is confident an inquiry would discover another grave miscarriage of justice. It would reveal that the woman the Tories so revere deployed the full force of the state to crush striking miners by fair means...or foul.
Families and communities still live with the consequences of pit closures — lost jobs and lost hope, poverty and social problems. We deserve and need an inquiry into the Battle of Orgreave and wider conduct of that Thatcher Government during the strike.
